Note: It is important that all files from this section are saved in the same folder. Create a folder in your H:drive called Fireworks and save each image into this folder. Save each file twice .............. once as a .png and once as a .jpg

Assignment 1

You are starting a new communications company that will be producing photos, videos and animations. Come up with a name for your company. Using the ideas above experiment with text effects and come up with one that suits your company name.

Create a slogan for your company. Apply a different effect to the slogan. Make sure it works well with the effect in the Company name.

Save these you will be using them later!

Assignment 2 - Simple Editing
Find a colouring book picture from the internet and modify the picture using Fireworks. Save the image and post to your website.

Assignment 3- Computer Baby

1. Remove the baby and the computer from the background.

2. Change the background on the computer screen from blue to green.

3 .Substitute the picture of the baby on the computer screen with an image of a cartoon character with a motion blur.

4. Add a different background to the picture

5. Change the colour of the baby's shirt.

6. Give the baby different hair or a hat.

7. Add a caption using a text effect!

8. Add a picture frame.

Save this image as a .png and a .jpg. Post the picture on your website

Assignment 4- Company Logo

Using the ideas learned design a logo for your communications company.  The logos must include a simple graphic drawn by you, your company name and slogan, and a frame. You may also include clipart if you wish.   Be creative, and show me what you have learned.

Replace the logo on your website with this new logo.

 

Assignment 5- Photo Editing

Create at least 5 pictures of yourself in strange or impossible situations. For example, you may be standing at the top of the Eiffel tower, flying a space craft or climbing up the face of Mount Everest. Find the picture that you want to place yourself in before taking your own picture. Cameras are available or you may use pictures from home. Add a different picture frame to each image.

Create a slideshow of your amazing exploits using Google Presentation

Slide 1 - Your production company logo

Slide 2 - A proudly presents screen created in Fireworks using text effects

Slide 3 - A Title screen created in Fireworks using text effects. (i.e. Ms. Gravelle's Trip around the World)

Slides 4 - 14 Title screens created in Fireworks followed by your image. (i.e. Ms. Gravelle in the Swiss Alps)

Slide 15 - Ending Credits
