Culminating Task

June 13 - June 23

You will have 7 classes and the exam time(if needed) to complete this CPT. You may use all of your previous work and assignments as reference.  You will have access to your H:drive and the internet.  Your rubric must be submitted before the end of the exam time on Thursday, June 23 (9:00 - 11:00).  It is your responsibility to verify that your website link has been recorded correctly and that I have access to all your files.

Remember …..  this is your culminating task, it is a representation of what you have learned.  
You will be required to complete the work on your own.
Requests for help will be recorded and marks will deducted from your final grade.

Description:

Your video company is releasing a sequel to a previously released animated movie. Your task is to create a promotional package for the move. The package must include:

Step 1 - Decide on the movie and come up with a title for the sequel. You may find this website which list the top 25 animated films useful. http://movies.ign.com/articles/650/650717p1.html

Step 2 - Design a logo for your movie using fireworks. It must be completely drawn by you and may not be the same as the one used by the original movie. See http://www.boxofficereport.com/media/movielogos.shtml for ideas.

Step 3 - Create your movie website in google sites.

Step 4 - On the "Original Movie" page write a 2 paragraph synopsis/description of the original movie. Use tables, borders, text effect and graphics to make the page interesting. Create links to the original movies website and to the trailer for the original move. Include character information.

Step 5 - On "The Sequel" page write a 2 paragraph synopsis/description of your new movie. Use tables, borders, text effect and graphics to make the page interesting. . See http://movies-synopsis.blogspot.com/

Step 6 - In fireworks design and draw 2 new characters that will appear in your movie.
On the "Characters" page of your website post the images and descriptions of the characters in your movie. This will include the 2 new characters plus any other characters from the first movie.

Step 7 - Using fireworks create a movie poster. Be sure to include your company logo. See http://www.moviepostershop.com/landing/movie-poster.asp?gclid=CJ_P4d328agCFU5qKgoda2i_Gw Post the poster on the "Movie Poster" page of your website.

Step 8 - Using flash create coming soon airplane animation for your movie. It should be an airplane dragging a “coming soon” banner across the sky with the name of the sequel. The airplane should do at least one loop as it flies across the screen. There must also be a background with secondary motion, animated text and your characters should appear somewheer in the animation. Post the animation on the "Coming Soon" page of your website.

Step 9 - Using movie maker, fireworks still image, fireworks animation and flash create an movie trailer for your sequel. The trailer should be exactly 2 minutes in length and must include your company information. There must be a music track and a voice over. Post the movie on the "Trailer" page of your website. http://www.traileraddict.com/

Step 10 - Create your optional page. It can be anything you want. i.e. a games page with puzzles about your movie.
