Assignment 1 - Your First Game

 

Assignment 2 - Creating Sprites and a Maze Game

Step 1 - Creating your own Sprites

Creating Walls (simple wall)
Creating a Character
Character 2

Create a goal sprite (i.e. a finish flag)


 

Step 2 - Level 1
Create a maze using the first wall you created in Step 1 .

This is a simple level.
The character must move through the maze and reach the goal object.
The character should continue to move as long as a key is held down. "NOTE: you must check that the character is on the grid before changing directions"
Do NOT add anything else to this level.

Step 3 - Level 2
Create a maze using the animated wall idea from the creating walls tutorial.
Create a new and different character. You can try character 2 tutorial or create one of your own.

Create a sprite for the character to collect. (i.e. coins, carrots ....)

Create a Level 3 using the same ideas. Make it a little more difficultl


 

Step 4 - Level 4

Create a new character. Your character must have 4 different views

Adding Monsters etc.

Add at least 4 additional Levels

Assignment 3- Using Code in a Plane Game

Assignment 4- Create a Street Racing Game using Code and/or Drag and Drop.
All Drag and Drop - Maximum Level 2
Combination Code and Drag and Drop - Maximum Level 3
All Code - Maximum Level 4

Requirements:

Scrolling background
Car that you are driving.
Other vehicles that appear randomly at different locations.
Lives, energy(fuel) and Score.
Collision Detection - Accidents

Work through the tutorial! You may use the resources provided or make/find your own.
